Milwaukee One Year Old Photographer | Charlotte & Clara

Published by [email protected] on

Newly one year old Clara greeted me with a big smile right when she got out of the car. Charlotte wasn’t far behind with her own sweet little smile. These two were so great for their one year old photo shoot. Both of them were super interested in surroundings; grabbing at weeds, ripping off headbands, and crawling up stairs. One or two… or more… weeds/plants may have been chewed on.

With twins, it seems typical to have one looking and smiling while the other is distracted and looking in a different direction. It took lots of crazy noises, waving, and jumping around to get both Charlotte and Clara looking at the same time. Needless to say, Mom, Dad, and myself were all in a full sweat by the end of the session. It didn’t help that the temperature was in the mid-80s and suuuper humid.

I tend to be a bit of an over-shooter. I just never want to miss a facial expression or moment so I snap, snap, snap away. It takes a little extra time to wade through all the pictures, but I’m able to narrow down to photos that have expressions that are most true to the subjects. Having way too many photos to sort through is worth it in that regard.

I absolutely love one year old photo sessions; they keep me on my toes. It takes a bit of a chase to get the best shots. Even when they’re not super mobile in terms of walking, they tend to have their own agenda. Because you can’t fully pose a one year old (for obvious, one year olds do what they want, reasons) I absolutely love the outcome of the natural shots and facial expressions you can get.

Have a soon to be one year old? After having yourself a good cry because your baby is almost one, send me a message so we can chat about a session.
