Maternity Session | Brookfield Family Photographer

This maternity session at Fox Brook Park in Brookfield was a beautiful evening to celebrate and document the excitement of an upcoming baby. This family is absolutely wonderful inside and out. The McCann’s are a husband and wife chiropractic team in Brookfield that I started seeing during my own pregnancies. They were such an integral part of keeping me comfortable and moving in two incredibly uncomfortable pregnancies. Both of my kids have been seeing the McCann’s since they were just a few weeks old, so we have gotten to know them well. I was so happy to be asked to capture these moments in the last week’s of Dr. Kate’s pregnancy.

When preparing for sessions, I try to check out different areas of parks even if I’ve been there many times. It keeps things different and unique for clients. I discovered a new trail at Fox Brook Park that is away from more popular paths. It provides a great glow for those early evening sessions. I think it will end up being a go-to location for my Brookfield family photo sessions.

One of my favorite things about maternity family sessions is to include soon-to-be big siblings . It is so sweet to see a big sister love on that belly and be excited about a new baby. Now, we all know, once baby is here sometimes that excitement wears off a little 🙂 Those big siblings always seem to come around and want to love on and play with baby in the end.

It can be easy to bypass the maternity session for baby #2 because things get busy and pregnancy flies by. When you want to look back and remember this time, you’ll be so happy you took the time for a session.
